At the beginning of August 2022, my family will be moving through to St Andrews. We’ve lived in Glasgow our whole lives, so it’s something we’re very excited about. It’s a part of the world that we love and are delighted to be able to call our home. I guess that now makes me a Fife wedding photographer?!
Luckily, there are lots of amazing wedding venues close to St Andrews and I’ve had the pleasure to working at many of them over the years. In March of this year, we photographed and filmed Claire & Colin’s wedding at The Cow Shed near Crail. The Cow Shed has loads of character and is a real DIY wedding venue which allows you to stamp your own style on it. The couple had brought in Roni from All Wrapped Up who made sure to bring out the full potential of such a unique venue.
The floral displays provided by Roni and her team were stunning and worked really well in the rustic setting of The Cow Shed. The venue has a relaxed, informal feel and this suited Claire & Colin’s wedding perfectly. Although there was close to 150 guests it didn’t feel crowded, and there was plenty of time for everyone to chat during the Drinks Reception.
When it came time for the photos of the bride and groom we decided to just stay in the grounds of the venue. Although there are some beautiful beaches nearby, The Cow Shed is a great backdrop for photos and video, and it made sense to maximise our time by just staying on site. I’m delighted with the photos and wedding video so I think it was a good decision!
