It was an absolute privilege to both photograph and film Sabina & Jamie’s Loch Lomond wedding at the Lodge on Loch Lomond.
Being a Loch Lomond wedding photographer means that you’re guaranteed a stunning backdrop for your photos and wedding films. But at Sabina & Jamie’s wedding, we also had incredible details and the most emotional speeches I’ve heard in a long time. Just watch the Highlight Film above for proof!
Loch Lomond Wedding Photography + Videography
The day actually started in Glasgow City Centre, where Sabina and her bridesmaids had rented a flat for their Bridal Preparations. The sun was shining and we had some beautiful light coming in through the large windows. We took full advantage and captured all the colour and intricate details of Sabina’s stunning sari.
It was then off to Bearsden Baptist Church for a heartfelt ceremony. The readings, the vows and the singing. . .all contributed to what was a very special wedding ceremony.
We had planned to take all of the group photos at the church, but as we were taking the full group photo after the ceremony we realised that time was against us, and the sun was due to set soon. It would have been such a shame to get to Loch Lomond with the sun already down, so we raced off to the hotel! We got there just as the sun was setting but the colours in the sky were stunning. It was worth the mad dash to get there!
I loved the combination of Jamie’s traditional Scottish kilt (complete with skein dhu and tartan fly plaid) alongside Sabina’s sari with traditional choker and henna.
Following that, Sabina & Jamie relaxed at their Drinks Reception and we got ready for the speeches. As I’ve already said, these were emotional speeches. Jamie had everyone wiping their eyes, and Sabina’s dad’s speech was one of the most eloquent I’ve heard.
Following some dancing we went back down to the edges of the Loch for a night photo.
It was such a pleasure to play a part in this wedding. Sabina & Jamie are a very special couple and a lovely family – I wish we could do it all again!
Beautiful work, Andi and the team. And yes, very emotional. Loved the video!
Thanks Ruth!
